"CLAUDETTE" Antique French Provincial Washstand and Ewer Set
Circa 1890 wrought iron wash stand. Probably French. Beautifully restored and refinished in satin white, with a new solid oak shelf. Includes an antique ironstone "ewer set" (pitcher and wash basin) from Knowles, Taylor & Knowles. The "Maine" pattern ewer set was produced from 1880-1900.
The top ring diameter is 12.5” and can hold a potted plant or decorative basket or bowl.
Use in the bathroom for hand towels and fill the bowl with soaps, etc.
Or, for a cool look in your bedroom, hang fashion scarves and fill a basket with hair accessories and more.
Or, in the winter, hang heavy scarves or shawls and fill a bowl with gloves, hats, etc., in your entryway.
Or, in the spring, remove the mahogany wood-stained middle shelf and use as a chic umbrella stand, hang hats, and a convenient wipe off towel.
Or, add a metal bowl of ice for party refreshments! Use other shelves to store plastic cups, napkins, openers and more.
